Purpose:  The Central Florida Presbytery (CFP) is one of 6 Florida Presbyteries. The stated purpose is “To equip, strengthen, and support congregations in their service to Jesus Christ, and to unite congregations in their discipleship, mission and fellowship in order to work together to accomplish the tasks that no one congregation can accomplish alone.” The CFP sponsors and coordinates youth activities such as summer camp, various outreach activities such as hunger alleviation and the Cuba Partnership, and various education programs for children and adults. It provides information and guidance to congregations involved in pastor selection and other ecclesiastical issues that may arise. The CFP has a staff of six people.

Purpose:  To help at-risk students (homeless) graduate from New Smyrna Beach High School.  Provide a home  for students, mostly seniors, that have no safe place to live.  It is the “Bridge House”.  The program consists of 4 “Pillars of Success”:

          Bridge House:  Shelter, Security, Drama Free

          Mentoring:  Tutoring, Life Skills, Counseling

          Personal Development:  Budgeting, Job Skills, Networking

          Senior Life:  Yearbook, Prom, Celebrations

 

Financial:  There is one salaried employee, and approximately 82% of donations go into the program.
